Mauro Icardi is willing to temporarily hand Inter team-mate Kwadwo Asamoah his captain’s armband following Serie A’s racism storm according to his wife and agent Wanda Nara.

The Argentina striker hopes to give armband to the Ghanaian international as show of support after Kalidou Koulibaly was subjected to monkey noises at San Siro

“Mauro would be happy to give the captain’s armband to Asamoah,” Wanda, his wife and agent, said on Tiki Taka.

It’s not clear if Asamoah will be given the armband against Empoli, but there will almost certainly be some kind of action by the players.

Inter have been ordered to play two home matches behind closed doors after the incident, with their ultras banned from one further fixture.
