Earlier this week, Xiaomi launched its first Android Go smartphone, Redmi Go in India. This was also the global launch of Redmi Go. Quite recently Xiaomi also launched Redmi Note 7 series in China and India, and the new Redmi 7.
The Chinese company is rumoured to be working on two Android One phones this year which would succeed the Mi A2. In the budget segment, Xiaomi is expected to upgrade its selfie smartphone series with the Redmi Y3. Xiaomi’s sub-brand Poco has also been making news with its second smartphone expected to launch soon.
Here’s a list of upcoming Xiaomi smartphones.
Mi A3
Xiaomi had launched its second generation Android One phone, Mi A2 in India last August. According to a report by xdadevelopers,Xiaomi is working on three phones with the codenames “pyxis,” “bamboo_sprout,” and “cosmos_sprout.” Here, sprout has been used as the codename for Android One smartphones hinting on the possibility.
The new Android One smartphones from Xiaomi are said to come with features like in-display fingerprint sensor, the report added. The smartphones are also expected to sport 32-megapixel front cameras like the Vivo V15 Pro. More details on Xiaomi’s Android One development are expected soon.

Redmi Y3
A new Xiaomi smartphone, Redmi Y3 recently received Wi-Fi certification. The Wi-Fi listing also revealed the Redmi Y3 is running on Android 9 Pie. Details on the Redmi Y3 are still limited, but it is expected to be a selfie-focused phone like the Redmi Y2. Launched last June in India, Redmi Y2 features a 16-megapixel front camera with features like AI-based portrait mode.
Poco F2
Xiaomi Poco F1 was launched as the cheapest smartphone with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 845 processor. Its successor, Poco F2 is expected to do the same with the Snapdragon 855 chipset. Recently spotted on benchmarking website Geekbench, Poco F2 was listed with Snapdragon 855 SoC, and Android Q which is yet to be launched. The smartphone also packs 4GB of RAM according to the listing.
An earlier listing of Poco F2 on Geekbench revealed Snapdragon 845 SoC, 6GB of RAM and Android 9 Pie OS. Xiaomi launched Poco F1 last August, so there’s still a good number of months till the new Poco smartphone gets official.
