Michael B Jordan maybe returning to Black Panther – Angela Bassett hints
29th January 2019
Michael B Jordan might be buying a plane ticket to Wakanda again with reports that his Black Panther character will return in the sequel.
Marvel fans will remember that Erik Killmonger appeared to die in the first installment of the blockbuster, after being defeated in a fight against T’Challa.
Well according to Angela Bassett, who played Ramonda, there’s still a chance that Michael, 31, could make a dramatic return and, frankly, we are thrilled by the possibility.
When asked if ‘everybody’ would be coming back for Black Panther 2, Angela told Entertainment Tonight on the SAGs red carpet: ‘I would assume so… We didn’t see him [Killmonger] go into the ocean did we?’ Angela’s actor husband, Courtney B Vance, cut her off to lay all the cards on the table: ‘Yes, just go ahead and say it, yes! Everyone will be there, including Michael B.’
The 60-year-old actress then confirmed in regards to Michael: ‘Yes, that’s who we’re talking about.’ Don’t toy with our emotions, guys.
It was a triumphant night for Black Panther at the SAGs, with the Marvel movie winning outstanding performance by a cast in a motion picture.
Chadwick Boseman, who plays Black Panther, delivered a rousing acceptance speech in which he expressed the cultural impact of the movie.
