Mohammed Kudus set to return after suspension for Leicester City clash
2nd December 2024
Ghana international Mohammed Kudus is set to return to action after completing his five-game suspension.
The 24-year-old will rejoin his West Ham United teammates for their trip to Leicester City on Tuesday, December 3, following a red card in the match against Tottenham Hotspur on October 19.
Kudus was handed the ban for improper conduct and violent behavior after an altercation with Spurs players Micky Van de Ven and Pape Matar Sarr.
Initially banned for three games, the suspension was later extended, and Kudus was also fined £60,000.
His absence significantly impacted the Hammers, with the team managing only one win during his suspension.
Kudus' return is expected to provide a major boost for manager Julen Lopetegui as West Ham look to recover in a busy December fixture list.
Before the suspension, Kudus had scored two goals in eight appearances this season and had become a key figure for the club since his move from Ajax Amsterdam last season.
However, his future at the club remains uncertain, with rumors linking him to Premier League rivals Arsenal and Liverpool.
