Medeama had to do it the hard way before getting to the MTN FA Cup semi finals as lower tier side Attram De Visser gave the Premier League side a run for their money.

The Tarkwa based side won 3-2 but it had to travel into extra time before they could beat the lower tier side via a late spot kick.

Medeama midfielder Benjamin Arthur opened the scoring his first ever goal for the club after a cross from Samuel Appiah.

Ahmed Toure added the second goal in the 54th minute with a neat finish to hand Medeama a commanding lead.

Vincent Atinga committed a blunder to give Joshuan Anim a simple tap in to make it 2-1 before De Visser added the second goal to push the game into extra time.

Striker Prince Opoku Agyemang climbed off the bench to score the match-winner for Medeama in the first half of extra time from the penalty spot to make it 3-2.

The mauves and yellow will now trek to Cape Coast to play Hearts of Oak next Sunday in the semi finals of the MTN FA Cup.
