Ghanaian international and Depórtivo Alaves midfielder Mubarak Wakaso has joined the never ending list of footballers to pay their tribute to Andres Iniesta after confirming his Barcelona exit.

Wakaso posted a powerful message on his Twitter page eulogizing one of the greatest midfielders of this generation.

After 16 seasons at the very top of the game with Barcelona, legendary Spanish midfielder Andres Iniesta has announced he will be leaving the Catalan club.

His official announcement on Friday afternoon was heart-breaking, with Iniesta in tears throughout most of it.

“I want to thank my team-mates,” he said. “My only aim was to be a success at this club and I have done that.”

With regards to his future, Iniesta clarified that things are not done and dusted in that department yet.

“There are still things to be sorted,” he said. “I have said I will never play against Barça, so I won’t play in Europe.”

So he won't be joining Guardiola in the Premier League, with China almost certainly his destination.
