Ashgold winger Yaw Annor has come out fighting after his exploits for the miners last Sunday where he scored four goals in the 5-1 win over Berekum Chelsea in their match day 27 game at the Obuasi Len Clay Stadium.

His four goals took him to 16 goals in 27 matches for the season as he gives Kotoko's Frank Mbella who has 18 goals a hot pursuit.

But due to doubts that still lingers around Ashgold and their alleged involvement in match fixing, many have raised eyebrows to the genuineness of his four goals he scored against Berekum Chelsea.

But speaking in an interview the former Bechem United player says that he is happy about the feat and that his goals are clean.

“I’m excited to have scored four goals in a single game because it has never happened in my career. I will thank my manager Mr. Akoto and coach Thomas Duah for their encouragement always” he told Fox FM.

“My teammates have been encouraging to score always to close in on Frank Mbella on goal king race. We have seven matches to end the season, if am unable to catch him the goals difference won’t be too wide”

“My goals are genuine; nobody is influencing my goals because I have been working hard. I do personal training from what the team does” he said.
