The National Association of Graduate Teachers (NAGRAT) says they will not call off its industrial action despite government allocating GH 50 million Ghana cedis to settle part of outstanding arrears, transfer grant and others owed them.

NAGRAT together with sister body GNAT are on strike over government's inability to settle its outstanding allowances, transfer grant, its promotion among other issues.

Speaking in an interview with Citi News, President of NAGRAT, Angel Cabbonu says the knee jerk payment by government is only a portion of their demands.

"This is addressing aspects of the problem for all teachers if the Public Services Commission sits with the Ministry of Education, the Ghana Education Service and all other stakeholders and could cede off that human resource management to the Ministry or the Ghana Education Service we could be solving a major issue"he concluded.

Meanwhile the President of NAGRAT says that their next line of action will be decided after a meeting today with the National Labour Commission.
