Legal representative for former President John Dramani Mahama, Tony Lithur has debunked allegations by his wife, Nana Oye that he abused her in their over 20 years of married journey.

According to  report, the former Gender, Children and Social Protection Minister, Nana Oye Lithur has told most of their family friends that her husband, Tony Lithur is a wife-beater.

It could be recalled that, divorce news of the two legal practitioners went viral on various social media platforms.

After a docket filed by Mr Tony Lithur in court seeking the divorce got leaked to the media, some social media users held that Nana Oye Lithur might have had enough of the beatings from the husband, and therefore advised the ex-minister to sign the divorce papers.

But it is now emerging that Mr Lithur has never raised his hand against Nana Oye Lithur, but on the contrary, the human rights campaigner was allegedly abusing his husband at home.

Mr Tony Lithur, who doubles as Counsel for former President Dramani Mahama, in Mynewsgh.com report allegedly said Nana Oye Lithur cheated on him, and has multiple sexual partners out of their matrimonial home.

Mr Lithur explained that Nana Oye rather devote time to her public life, rather than attending to her home affairs, and also contributes zero to making their home.

The renowned lawyer who is seeking divorce further requesting the court not to only dissolve their over 20-year-old marriage, but also ensure his wife does not get any share of his properties since she did not contribute in acquiring them.
