FC Nantes Ghanaian defender Dennis Appiah has expressed optimism about his side's weekend French League One encounter at home to Dijon.

The 27-year old was I'm action in midweek when his Nantes side suffered a 2-0 defeat at the hands of Paris Saint Germain in on Thursday despite putting up a spirited Performance.

And speaking to the media after the game, Appiah said his showed good character and must build up on it this weekend.

"It's pretty paradoxical to leave the Parc des Princes with a hint of regret", Appiah said.

"Yes, because we get situations. If you do not concretize them against Paris, you must have regrets.

"We do not make a bad match, we show rather a good image of the club, the collective", the defender added.

Dennis Appiah and his Nantes teams mates are currently preparing for a game against Dijon on Sunday and the defender is optimistic they will improve on the good performance to get a result.
