Newly-elected National Organiser of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), Sammi Awuku, has promised to live up to expectation following his landslide victory at the party’s National Delegates’ Conference held in Koforidua.

According to the out gone National Youth Organiser, who polled 4,913 votes to beat his other two contenders; Suleiman A Sadik and Emmanuel Kodua to win the National Organizer position on Saturday, July 7, 2018.

Speaking in an interview on Monday, 9 July, Mr Awuku said: “This is a huge task given to me by the delegates. Whether or not we win the elections depends on the National Organiser and that tells you the kind of mandate that has been given to me by the delegates.

"But to whom much is given, much is expected. I'll work hard to meet their expectations. I won’t disappoint”, Mr Awuku promised.

He added: “I'll look at the whole organisational structure of the party and look at the way forward. I'm going to work with two deputy national organisers.”
