Opposition National Democratic Congress have been making a lot of wild promises in their quest to comeback to power in the December 7th General elections.

During the launch of their manifesto dubbed the 'people's manifesto' somewhere this month, six key points were highlighted for Sports development among them includes the payment of salaries of sportsmen and women.

Communications Director of NDC, Sammy Gyamfi says they will establish a sports development fund where players of the Ghana Premier League will be paid a minimum of GHC1,500 a month.

"The NDC will establish the sports development fund.Government will furnish the account with enough money and also generate some from cooperate bodies."

"Every club that plays in the premier league will be supported with funds to settle player salaries,an average money of GHC1,500 will be paid to each player."

He also added that support will be given to clubs that qualify to play in the CAF Inter club competitions when voted for in December.

"Every club that qualifies to play in the CAF Inter-clubs competition will also be supported.The inter-colleges games will also be supported financially with this fund."

"However,clubs that transfer players abroad will give a percentage of the money they earn into the sports fund," he added.
