American rapper Nicki Minaj has voiced support for U.S. President Donald Trump’s recent remarks on the persecution of Christians in Nigeria, describing the situation as heartbreaking and urging global attention to religious intolerance.

President Trump, in a post on Truth Social, claimed that thousands of Christians have been killed by radical Islamist groups in Nigeria. He further announced the designation of Nigeria as a “Country of Particular Concern”, citing what he described as an “existential threat to Christianity.”

Responding via her X (Twitter) account, Minaj expressed gratitude for the freedom of worship in the United States while empathizing with victims of religious persecution abroad.

“Reading this made me feel a deep sense of gratitude. We live in a country where we can freely worship God. No group should ever be persecuted for practicing their religion. We don’t have to share the same beliefs in order for us to respect each other,” she wrote.

The “Super Bass” hitmaker emphasized that religious persecution is a global crisis that must not be ignored, urging her fans to stand in solidarity with affected communities.
“Numerous countries all around the world are being affected by this horror, and it’s dangerous to pretend we don’t notice,” she added. “Thank you to The President & his team for taking this seriously. God bless every persecuted Christian. Let’s remember to lift them up in prayer.”

President Trump’s comments have triggered widespread debate worldwide, after he cited figures suggesting that over 3,100 Christians were killed in Nigeria compared to 4,476 globally, calling it a “moral test for humanity” that demands immediate action.
