Samuel Udoetuk-Wills, the Nigerian man who is being held in connection to the kidnapping of three Ghanaian girls in Takoradi is “a naughty boy and who wanted to exploit and get money” Minister of Gender, Children and Social Protection, Mrs Cynthia Morrison has said.

According to the Minister, she made this conclusion after her one-on-one interaction with the suspect, who is currently behind bars in Takoradi.

Speaking on ClassFM, she asserted: “He is just a naughty boy who wanted to exploit and then the whole thing blew out of proportion. He doesn’t have any serious job and he knows money, so, will use any which way to get money and he’s not alone,”

One of the three victims, 18-year-old Ruth Love Quayeson, was last seen on 4 December 2018.

The other two, 21-year-old Priscilla Blessing Bentum, was last seen on 17 August 2018; and 18-year-old Priscilla Mantebea Koranchie, was last seen on 21 December 2018.

Mrs Morrison noted that the suspect has begun talking but she refused to disclose the details of the conversation “for security reasons.”

Mrs Morrison further expressed confidence that the missing girls will be found alive and reunited with their families, as the government and the police were doing everything possible for that to happen.
