Black Stars midfielder Emmanuel Agyemang Badu has reiterated that, he and his Ghana national teammates are happy to finance their flight tickets to Ghana in order to represent the team in the final AFCON qualifier game against Rwanda.

Speaking after Black Stars second day of training at the Accra Sports Stadium today, the workaholic midfielder insisted that the players are focused on serving the country and are not bothered with paying for their own plane tickets to honour the game.

"We have the nation at heart and we know what the country has done for us. We also know where we want to take the Black Stars, we want to remain focused and get a 100% record" Badu said after.

Agyemang Badu thanked injured teammate, Andre Ayew for offering to pay for players who could not afford to pay for their plane tickets to Ghana.

"I will like to take this opportunity to thank Andre Ayew and all my colleagues who were able to pay for their tickets down here. They have all shown real patriotism".

Badu appealed to Ghanaians to support the team ahead of the AFCON 2017 tournament.

"We are appealing to them to come support us against Rwanda on Saturday and with the cohesion and calmness in camp we can get a 100% record"

Asked if the players will accept a winning bonus of 2000 or nothing at all.

"We are relaxed, we will play our football and return to our various clubs" he responded.

This comes after Ghana's Sports Ministry refused to fund for air tickets of Black Stars foreign-based players on the basis that Ghana had already qualified for AFCON 2017 and had nothing to lose if local-based players are deployed for the encounter.

Black Stars deputy captain, Andre Ayew offered to pay for his teammates who could not foot the bill by themselves.
