If the level of cheer a political figure gets on the street while touring could win an election, President Akufo-Addo would have lost election 2020 yesterday, this is what the National Communications Officer of the opposition NDC has suggested.

According to Sammy Gyamfi, President Akufo-Addo was barely received with hearty cheers and loud chants by commuters and traders as usually observed at the Accra Central Business District during his tour yesterday, December 3, 2019.

The President who began his three-day tour to various parts of the Greater Accra Region on December 3, 2019, made stops at some parts of the region to inspect ongoing works, commission completed projects and cut the sod for new projects to commence as well as held interactions with the chiefs and people.

Per some visual evidence made available so far, the activities of the president have been duly patronized by residents, traders and commuters in areas the president has visited so far.

But a video posted by the NDC communicator which captured the tail of the presidential convoy amidst a busy atmosphere of the Central Business District proves otherwise.

As depicted in the video, the president’s convoy at the main business centre of the capital city barely attracted a wave from pedestrians and traders along the road, which according to Mr Gyamfi, was unusual.

To further describe the content of the video, Sammy Gyamfi attached a caption to the video which supposedly is the reason why people did not react to the president’s convoy.

His post read; “As can be seen from the attached “Visual Afrobarometer report”, not a single soul waved at the deceptive, corrupt, nepotistic and non-performing President Akufo-Addo as he toured the CBD of Accra yesterday.”
