Zdravko Logarušić was sacked by Asante Kotoko in April 2017 but before he was shown the exit, there was some bit of drama as the morning before he was sacked a known Kotoko fan by name Seidu Mba unilaterally walked the coach out of the training grounds.

The Croat was in charge of the porcupine warriors for a short stint before he departed under a cloud due to poor results and disagreement with the the management.

He was appointed by the porcupine warriors before the start of the 2017 Ghana Premier League season and was relieved of his duties in April 2017 after winning just five out of eleven matches but still has fond memories of his brief stint with the club.

Speaking in an interview with Kumasi based Ashh FM, the coach of the Zimbabwe national team says that he was not sacked by Seidu as was widely reported instead its the club's management who came to sack him from the training grounds.

"Notorious Asante Kotoko supporter Seidu Mba didn't sack me from the training ground it's the management who came and sacked me because they appointed me as a coach" he said.

Logarušić’s last job before taking the was with the Sudanese national team from December 2017 to November 2019. He was sacked from the position in November last year following the team’s defeat to South Africa in the 2021 Afcon Qualifiers.

The the well-travelled gaffer also had stints in Africa when he coached Gor Mahia and AFC Leopards of the Kenyan Premier League, Ghanaian side Asante Kotoko and Tanzanian club Simba SC.
