Nsoatreman FC is the latest club that has sealed qualification to play in the Ghana Premier League next season after they defeated Tamale City FC in a Division One League zone one play-off game at the Accra Sport Stadium

The Bono based side inflicted a 2-1 defeat on the Tamale based side in a game which traveled to extra time after the regulation time ended 1-1.

There was nothing to separate both sides after the regular season as they had identical numbers in everything as they both finished the season pf 71 points and same head to head record after winning their final games by 1-0 each.

Per the regulations the deadlock between the two teams needed to be broken with a one off play off game with the winner securing promotion.

It was a balanced game in the first half as each side was cautious not to commit too much going forward as the first half ended goalless.

After the break, Nsoatreman FC scored the opened goal through Samuel Ofori with two minutes to the hour mark.

Tamale City seized the initiative and pressed on for the equalizer after conceding as their persistent paid off with a penalty kick which was won by Godknows Dzakpasu.

Striker Bismark Asare converted the spot kick to make it 1-1 for Tamale City in the 65th minute of the game.

During extra time, Nsoatreman FC scored a 98th minute goal which proved to be the winner through Charles Asante to make it 2-1 as they book their place in the elite division next season.

They join Samartex and Kotoku Royals as the teams who have qualified to the Ghana Premier League this season.
