Maxwell Konadu, coach of Nsoatreman FC, expressed immense joy after guiding the club to their maiden major trophy with a thrilling FA Cup triumph over Bofoakwa Tano FC.

The Ghana Premier League side secured victory in a tense encounter, prevailing 5-4 on penalties after a gripping 1-1 draw following extra time at the University of Ghana Stadium.

Bofoakwa Tano, despite facing relegation from the Ghana Premier League, took the lead early through Richard Dzikoe's goal.

However, Nsoatreman FC responded strongly in the second half when Sadat Mohammed capitalized on a goalkeeping error to level the score.

Reflecting on the historic win, coach Maxwell Konadu expressed his elation, saying, "We are so excited. I am happy for myself, the team, the management, the fans, and everyone involved. Thank you, Ghana football."

The triumph not only marks Nsoatreman FC's first major trophy but also secures their participation in the upcoming CAF Confederation Cup, representing Ghana on the continental stage next season.

Additionally, the club's impressive fourth-place finish in the 2023/24 Ghana Premier League further underscores their growing stature in Ghanaian football.
