A staff nurse, identified as Ms. Bernice Aboagye, has been served a query letter by her employers after a viral video showed her using abusive and inappropriate language against the Minister of Health, Hon. Mintah Akandoh.

According to the letter, Ms. Aboagye’s conduct has triggered widespread public outrage, with many Ghanaians condemning her remarks, which have been widely shared and debated on social media.

Management described her comments as “unprintable, inappropriate, and scandalous,” stating that they breached multiple provisions of the Ghana Health Service Code of Conduct and Disciplinary Procedures.

The query outlined three key violations — rude behaviour toward the Minister, use of abusive language, and actions likely to tarnish the corporate image of the Service.

She has been instructed to respond to the query by October 24, 2025, providing reasons why disciplinary action should not be taken against her.

The incident has since sparked mixed public reactions. While some sympathize with Ms. Aboagye, citing frustrations over delayed salary payments, others have argued that professionalism and respect must always be maintained, regardless of working conditions.
