Portuguese national Asumah Abubakar-Ankrah has joined Switzerland Super League side Luzern FC after agreeing terms and passing his medical examinations.
The 24-year-old Ghanaian-born forward has signed a two and a half year contract with the club after spending just a season with FC Lugano.
An official statement from the club read: "welcome back to Inner Switzerland, Asuma Abubakar!"
Asumah Abubakar played just 36 matches for FC Lugano during his one season stay there scoring 5 goals at the club.
The forward began his European sojourn at Dutch side Williem II in 2016-2018 before moving to MVV Maastricht and then Kriens.
Asumah represented the Portuguese U19 in the European championship in 2016 where he played 2 games with a goal to his name.
He is still eligible to play for Ghana the country of his birth.
