Ghanaian defender Maxwell Woledzi has signed for Portuguese side Vitória SC from Danish side FC Nordsjaelland.

The central defender joins the Conquistadores in an operation in which Vitória SC holds 100% of the economic rights of the Ghanaian for the amount of €100,000  with the Danish club entitled to 25% of any future sale.

Vitória Sport Clube, Futebol SAD announces that the player Maxwell Woledzi has signed a contract with the club valid until June 2025.

Trained at the Ghanaian academy Right to Dream, the 20-year-old will join the Victorian B squad after four seasons with FC Nordsjælland, from Denmark.

In his first interview as a player for Vitória Sport Clube, Woledzi was quite satisfied with this change due to the club's commitment to young players.

“I chose Vitória because I believe it is the best step for my development, that's why I'm here. When I heard about Vitória's interest, I went to research the club, its history, and I quickly realized that it is a club that bets on young players. I also looked at the example of Abdul Mumin, who is a player I really like, like an older brother, who has evolved a lot since he arrived in Guimarães. I also saw that they have very devoted fans, how they support the team and that will push me even more. I want the fans to see that I am a player who gives everything for this emblem.”

Asked about the main characteristics that make him stand out on and off the pitch, Maxwell Woledzi highlighted his physical and technical attributes. “I'm good with the ball at my feet, I'm a very physical player, very passionate about the game. I am a very committed player and I am ready to give everything for Vitória. I can't wait to meet everyone and play in this jersey.”
