The Deputy National Instructor of the Referees Association of Ghana (RAG)  Mr. Richard Thomas Attifu has opined that he believes there was an improvement in the performance of officials in the country last season.

In an interview with ASHH FM, Mr. Attifu noted that there was not much complaints about the standard of officiating in the league last season due to the high level of professionalism displayed by referees across the country.

He gave officials a 8.5 out of 10 rating and assured they have began their training and preparations for the upcoming 2017/2018 campaign which he expects will see an even better improvement.

Atiffu also disclosed the leadership of RAG have submitted a proposal for a 'major' reform to the Ghana Football Association which he says will enhance their levels and aid refereeing development once it is considered by the football governing body.
