The Appointment Committee of Parliament has recommended for approval Senior Minister Yaw Osafo Maafo, Energy Minister designate Boakye Agyarko, Adomonline.com can confirm.

The approval of the two was suspended following objections raised by the members of the Minority on the Committee.

But after deliberation Chairman of the Appointments Committee, Joe Osei Owusu in an interview with Parliamentary correspondent, Abednego Asante Asiedu said the two have sealed through.

On Wednesday the Minority Chief Whip  Muntaka Mubarak hinted the Committee has withheld the approval of the Energy Minister Boakye Agyarko because he ventured into politics in answering some of the questions posed to him and has been given time to substantiate some of the claims he made during the heated vetting.

Mr. Osafo Maafo on otherhand was reported to have said that only five regions in the country are endowed with Ghana's natural resources for which reason any president chosen must come from one of those regions to be able to manage the resources.

When he appeared before the committee Osafo Maafo insisted the tape which went viral had been doctored for propaganda purposes.

The two were asked to provide evidence to back their claims pending their approval.

But Hon. Osei-Wusu said the two Ministers-designate have provided the needed evidence to exonerate themselves from all the allegations.

Therefore, he noted that, Mr. Maafo and Mr. Ayarko will be part of the second batch of Minister-designate to be approved by the Committee
