The Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP) has announced that former Finance Minister Ken Ofori-Atta and seven other accused persons will appear before the court on Monday, 24 November 2025, to respond to 78 charges, including corruption and related offences.

In a statement shared on social media, the OSP indicated that prosecutors will also apply for orders to serve charge sheets on suspects currently outside the country.

The charges stem from investigative findings implicating Ofori-Atta, Strategic Mobilisation Limited (SML), and six former senior officials of the Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA) and the Ministry of Finance.

The accused persons include:

  • Ernest Darko Akore, 67, former Chief of Staff to the Finance Minister

  • Emmanuel Kofi Nti, 66, former Commissioner-General, GRA

  • Rev. Ammishaddai Owusu-Amoah, 64, former Commissioner-General, GRA

  • Isaac Crentsil, 63, former Commissioner, Customs Division

  • Kwadwo Damoah, 65, former Commissioner, Customs Division

  • Evans Adusei, 62, CEO of SML

  • Strategic Mobilisation Ghana Ltd. (formerly SML)

Prosecutors allege that the individuals participated in a coordinated “criminal enterprise” from 2017 to 2024, manipulating procurement processes, issuing unlawful contracts, and siphoning more than GHS 1.4 billion for services that were never delivered.
