Ghanaian duo of Thomas Teye Partey and Richmond Boakye Yiadom featured last night for a combined total time of 97 minutes for their respective teams in the Uefa Champions League.

Both players had missed results on the night with Boakye Yiadom's Red Star Belgrade by pummeled three goals to nil at the Allianz Arena while Partey's Athletico Madrid had to come from two goals down against Cristiano Ronaldo's Juventus to grab a share of the spoils at home.

On Partey's part his side had to come from behind to level the scores after goals from Juan Cuadrado and Blaise Matiudi had given the visitors the lead before Stefan Savic pulled one back for the host.

In the dying minutes of the game Mexican midfielder Hector Herrera who replaced Partey in the 76th minute grabbed the much needed equalizer.

For striker Richmond Boakye Yiadom, he was brought in as replacement for Milan Pavkov in the 70th minute but could not rescue his team from a ruthless Bavarian side.

The hosts broke the deadlock through Kingsley Coman who leaped to meet a deep cross and nodded the ball inside the middle of the net, past the helpless goalkeeper.

Lewandowski and Thomas Muller both scored in the second half to seal a comfortable victory.
