Head Coach of Medeama SC Samuel Boadu has revealed that Manchester City boss, Pep Gaurdiola inspires him as a coach and named the Spaniard as his role model.

Reflecting in his post match interview after the 2-0 dominating win over Hearts of Oak in their second Group game of the G8 tournament on Wednesday, Coach Boadu said he shares the same philosophy of attacking football as the former Barcelona manager.

”Every team has it’s own philosophy, our philosophy is to score more goals. Pep Guardiola is my role model”

On his impressions and strategy against Accra Hearts of Oak the gaffer said, “My problem was my defense which conceded alot in our first game so I worked more on that aspect of our game before the match”

”We had wanted to score 5 against Hearts but the two forced changes due to injuries affected my team”

The former Asowkwa Deportivo trainer has guided Medeama to the knock out phase of the ongoing G8 tournament with one game to spare in the group stages, scoring an impressive 8 goals in 2 matches albeit conceding 5.
