The Professional Footballers Association of Ghana (PFAG) has sent out a rallying call to the National U-23 Team, the Black Meteors, ahead of their crucial 2nd leg encounter with Algeria on Tuesday.

Coach Ibrahim Tanko’s charges will be seeking a positive result in Algiers as they look to qualify for the AFCON U23 Championships, which will serve as route to the Tokyo 2020 Olympics next year.

The Meteors put up a brave performance but were held to a 1-all draw in the first leg encounter at the Accra Sports Stadium.

“The PFAG is fully aware of the difficult nature of the task at hand, but we remain confident in the dedication, quality and sheer resilience within the squad to come away with the much needed result.

With the support and prayers of all Ghanaians, the PFAG wishes the Black Meteors all the best!

We continue to stand with you and for you!!”
