PHOTOS: Akufo-Addo, Bawumia join Chief Imam at residence to celebrate 99th birthday

President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and Vice-President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, have joined the National Chief Imam, Sheikh Dr Osumanu Nuhu Sharabutu today Monday, April 23, 2018, at his private residence in Fadama to celebrate his 99th birthday.
Vice President, Dr. Bawumia in an earlier message prayed for long life for the Islamic leader to continue contributing to national development.
Dr Bawumia in a Facebook post wrote; “It is my prayer that the Almighty Allah grants you long life to continue to bless this nation with your wisdom and significant contributions toward national development,”
Sheikh Dr Usman Nuhu Sharubutu is an Islamic cleric and a member of the National Peace Council who has received several awards for the role he plays in ensuring peaceful co-existence between Muslims, Christians, and other religious bodies as well as political groups in the country.
Dr Sharubutu was born at Old Fadama on 23 April 1923. He traces his ancestry to the Hausa ethnicity from Northern Nigeria.
