Ghana’s Beach Soccer National Team, the Black Sharks, conducted their final training session on Thursday, October 17, at the Hurghada Beach Soccer Arena in preparation for their 2024 Beach Soccer African Cup of Nations (AFCON) opener.

The Black Sharks will face the tournament hosts, Egypt, in their first Group A encounter on Saturday, October 19, at 4:30 PM. The match follows the earlier Group A fixture between Morocco and Tanzania.

Having arrived in Egypt on Wednesday after weeks of intense pre-tournament preparations in Keta, the Ghanaian team is set to make a strong bid to advance from the group stage.

Under the leadership of coach Daniel Neequaye, the Black Sharks are aiming to qualify for the 2025 FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup, which will be held in Seychelles.

Group B features defending champions Senegal, who are joined by Mauritania, Mozambique, and Malawi.
