Police Superintendent Bossman Ohene-Boadi, the Konongo Divisional Commander, has renewed the appeal for increased public support to rein in people, who have chosen to live outside the law.

He said it was important to provide them with useful leads - credible information, for the arrest and prosecution of criminals.

He also called for the supply of vital logistics to enable them to efficiently perform their duties to ensure public safety and security.

He was speaking when receiving two motorbikes bought for the Juaso police by the Asante-Akim South District Assembly.

The motorbikes, which cost GHȼ10,400.00, are meant to help enhance the mobility of the police to aid crime fight in the district.

He spoke of their determination to continue to work with total commitment to protect lives and property - to make the society a safer place for everybody.

He gave the assurance that the motorbikes would be put to good use and properly maintained.

Mr. De-graft Forkuo, the District Chief Executive (DCE), pledged to do everything they could to support the police to perform.

He entreated the officers to uphold high standards of professionalism and remain vigilant, as the nation inched closer to general election.

Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP), Samuel Sandow Latebu, the District Commander, commended the assembly for the gesture.
