Kwame Asare Obeng aka A-Plus has said that the Police only saw human remains of the four kidnapped Takoradi girls saga only when the Power Distribution Service saga broke.

Speaking in an interview with Accra based Neat fm, the outspoken politician says that he has lost faith in the two major political parties, the NPP and the NDC.

A Plus claims that these two political parties are capable of doing anything so has doubts of the said human remains been that of the four girls.

According to him the news of the human remains been found on 2nd August,2019 was a smokescreen to silence the messy PDS scandal that hit the government within that same period.

Background

The NPP government inherited an arrangement in which the United States government, through the Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC), offered Ghana $500 million for the reform of the energy sector.

It was decided to incorporate it largely into the reform of the Electricity Company of Ghana.

One of the conditions of the money was that Ghana should get a private electricity coordinator to partner the nation to manage the electricity generation and distribution system.

After a process of bidding and tendering which left Ghana with one company in the field, an arrangement was made for that company to take over the running of the assets of ECG.

Subsequently, the government recently discovered that some of the financial instruments the company [PDS] put down, were not in order, and, as a result of that, the government suspended the concession until all the facts were established.
