The National TESCON Deputy Coordinator, Rosemond Obeng Asor has advised the youth particularly women interested in politics to have clear intentions and not see politics as an “avenue for corrupt and unprincipled persons”.

According to her, the youth should develop an attitude to serve the people of Ghana.

“In a world where young people see the field of politics as an avenue for corrupt and unprincipled persons, it is almost a crucial emergency that we reached out to our young ones, especially for the people who have gone through the ups and downs of the political system and climbed some rungs in their political career despite the overwhelming odds, and help them to re-invent their notions to see politics as a privileged platform to debate ideas and serve people in the genuineness of intentions,” she said.

She made this comment at the annual Enquiry Agency Career Fair 2019 at La Villa Boutique Hotel dubbed "Acceleration Of Greatness".

She also admonished them against any negative impressions and misguided notions they may have been exposed to as they embark on their political journey.

“I equally shared my story to challenge young people to overcome each and every day of their political journey, especially young woman and a learner in politics”.

Other speakers includes, Dr. Zenator Agyeman Rawlings, (MP, Klottey Korle), Hon Fritz Baffour (Former Minister of Information), Joseph Amartey (Tourism Ambassador for Ghana), Hon Kabrah Blay-Amihere (Diplomat) among others.

Mrs. Obeng Asor further expressed gratitude to the organizers of the programme and urged them to continue and do more for the youth.
