Voting in the presidential and parliamentary elections for the first time has concluded smoothly in Bawku without any altercation with results already pouring in from some polling stations.

At the Slaughter House polling station, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) candidate, Mr John Dramani Mahama polled 405, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) candidate, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo polled 144, Mr Papa Kwesi Ndoum got 3, Dr Edward Nasigrie Mahama polled 3 while Nana Konadu Agyeman Rawlings National Democratic Party (NDP) polled 2 votes.

Mr Ivor Kobina Greenstreet of the Convention People's Party (CPP) got 0 and Mr Jacob Osei Yeboah, the Independent candidate, also got 0 vote.

In the Parliamentary election, Mr Mahama Ayari of the NDC got 368 votes, Madam Gabiana Abugre Gbanwa, polled 187 votes, Paul Awuni of the PPP polled 3 votes, CPP's Hajia Ibrahim Zaliatu got 2 votes, while Mr Seidu Ayuba, an independent candidate, polled 1 vote.

In the Presidential ballot at the Azanga Polling Station, the NDC polled 272 votes, NPP 233 votes, PNC 3 votes, PPP 3 votes, CPP 6 votes, the Independent candidate got 0 while rejected ballots were 17.

In the Parliamentary the NDC polled 261, NPP- 246, PPP- 5, CPP- 5, Independent -2 and rejected ballots were 12.

In the Presidential ballot at the Urban Hall Centre A, the NPP got 444, NDC- 44, CPP- 0, NDP- 1, PNC- 1, Independent 0, and rejected ballots 4.

For the Parliamentary in the same polling station, the NPP polled 452, NDC- 38, CPP -2, NDP -0, Independent -0, PPP -0 and rejected ballots 2.

At the Urban Hall Centre B, for Presidential, the NPP got 460, the NDC- 27, PPP- 0, Independent- 2, and rejected 1.

While at Sabon-Gari for the Presidential the NDC polled 134, NPP -316, the other candidates got 0 votes while spoilt ballots were 5.
