President John Dramani Mahama will today, January 7, 2026, lead a Non-Denominational Thanksgiving Service to commemorate the first anniversary of his administration, reflecting on a year of governance and charting the road ahead.

The service, slated for 8:00 a.m. at the Forecourt of the Jubilee House in Accra, will be held under the theme “Resetting, Rebuilding, and Renewing.” It is expected to draw a broad cross-section of the nation, including religious leaders, government officials, members of the diplomatic community, and other distinguished guests.

The gathering will serve as a moment of collective gratitude to God for peace, stability, and national resilience over the past year, while also reaffirming the government’s resolve to pursue inclusive leadership, national renewal, and shared progress.

The thanksgiving service forms part of activities marking one year since President Mahama assumed office, underscoring his administration’s emphasis on unity, reflection, and recommitment to Ghana’s development agenda as it steps into its second year.
