The Vice Presidential Candidate of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Professor Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang, is set to begin a two-day campaign tour of the Upper West Region on Tuesday, as part of her efforts to galvanize support for the NDC ahead of the December 7, 2024, elections.

Her visit is part of a broader strategy to connect with voters in northern Ghana, following recent campaign stops in the North East and Savannah Regions. The seasoned educationist and political figure has been championing the party’s vision for Ghana, rallying support for the NDC’s presidential candidate, John Dramani Mahama, and its parliamentary candidates.

While in the Upper West Region, Prof. Opoku-Agyemang will interact with constituents in Wa Central, Lambussie, Nandom, Lawra, and Sissala. She plans to share the NDC’s key campaign messages, which focus on addressing economic challenges, improving education, creating jobs, and empowering women financially.

The campaign also emphasizes the need for change, as the NDC contends that the Akufo-Addo/Bawumia government has left the country in a state of economic disarray. Prof. Opoku-Agyemang has called on voters to trust Mr. Mahama to restore stability and chart a course toward a brighter future.

After concluding her Upper West tour on Wednesday, she will head to the Northern Region to continue her campaign activities. Her engagements highlight the NDC’s commitment to connecting directly with voters across the country as the election date draws closer.
