On Wednesday at around 3 pm, Sheikh Salisu Hussein, the Director of Firdaus Foundation for Social Service, a locally based non-governmental organization together with close associates donated food stuffs specifically bags of rice, tinned tomatoes, cooking oil and detergents to the Madina community.
The distribution of the items was done at the Firdaus hostel inside Madina (Akatsie Abor) where Mr. Ahmed Muhammad Mahmud the Director of the hostel provided the grounds for the distribution of the items to the Madina constituents.
It is an annual charity program which is funded by RAF foundation, an NGO based in Qatar that aims at helping the needy and the less privileged in the society.
Each person was entitled to receive a 10 litre of cooking oil, a 50kilogram of Cindy rice, a bucket of detergent, 3 sacks of sugar and a box of tinned tomatoes.
The items were distributed to approximately 500 people.
Among the recipients of the food stuffs were people from Kwashieman, Kasoa, Nima, Mamobi and Madina to mention a few.
