Former Ghana U23 player Kwame Poku continued his impressive form for Peterborough United, scoring in their 2-2 draw against Leyton Orient in an English League One clash on Tuesday night.

This marks Poku's third consecutive game finding the back of the net.

Leyton Orient took the lead after 20 minutes, with defender Thomas James putting the home side ahead.

However, Poku responded just before halftime, netting the equalizer in the 42nd minute after linking up with Malik Mothersille.

Peterborough went into the break with a 2-1 advantage, as Mothersille coolly converted a penalty just before halftime.

The spot-kick was awarded when Ricky-Jade Jones was fouled in the box by Leyton goalkeeper Zachary Hemming.

In the second half, Leyton Orient fought back. American forward Charlie Kelman leveled the match in the 53rd minute with a deflected shot that beat Peterborough goalkeeper Jed Steer.

Ghanaian forward Daniel Agyei also featured prominently for Leyton, playing 80 minutes in the match.

Poku, who has had a stellar start to the 2024-25 season, now boasts 5 goals in 7 appearances, making him a key player for Peterborough United in their League One campaign.
