The Ghana Premier League match between Ebusua Dwarfs and Legon Cities was abandoned  by the center referee Alpha Adey after 45 minutes.

Legon Cities took the lead in the game as early as the 9th minute through Kwabena Antwi Richard.

Both teams went into the break with the solitary lead but the second half of the match never started as the referee felt unsafe at the Cape Coast Stadium.

According to the referee he was subjected to threats and insults from the supporters of the home side while officials of Ebusua Dwarfs were also involved in the threats.

After the first half, the referees were holed in their dressing room for more than 35minutes and after the match commissioner inquired he was told that the referees feel unsafe and that will not continue the game.

The Ghana Football Association will have to decide on the next line of action with Legon Cities set to benefit by getting all the three points.
