The Bono Regional Chairman of the Ghana Taekwondo Federation, Rev. Samuel Annor has been appointed to Chair the Organising Committee (OC) for the 11th Korean Ambassador's Cup Taekwondo Championships slated for December 5th - 7th 2019.

Mr Annor, who is an Executive Board member of the GTF also doubles as the Para-Committee Chairman of the Federation.

His selfless service and commitment towards the development of the combat sport, is admired by many and thus his second appointment to Chair the OC after a successful 10th Korea Cup last year December, held at the Korea Sports Complex.

Ordained recently as a Reverend Minister of the Word of God, Mr Annor also works with the Sunyani Technical University as the Sports Manager.

Speaking to TalksenseSports, Rev. Annor says, they hope to improve upon last year's achievement.

"Well, I believe there's always room for improvement. So I aspire to improve upon the successes achieved last year especially as this year's event is the first time bringing all Ten Regions together. We hope to improve upon, organisation, publicity, patronage, level of competition, talent hunt, resource mobilization and others."

Rev. Samuel Annor will work with Master Adnan Odartey Lamptey (Dep. Secretary General), Master Stephen Amegashie Jnr (Technical Director), Andrews Ahiagah (Coach & Referee), Augustus Agbozo (Coach & Referee) and Davis Nii Attuquaye Clottey (PRO) as members of the OC, to ensure the smooth successful Championships at the Korea Sports Complex.

A total number of 292 Athletes participated in last year's event with 31 weight categories from Cadet, Juniors, Para & Seniors.

Meanwhile, this year's edition will focus on major participation from the Regional Associations in the Seniors Category as the Embassy of the Republic of Korea has offered support to 9 regions (minus Gt Accra).
