Friday 18th October 2019 will go down into the history of Ghana as a day to remember following the election of new regional chairman to man the affairs of the GFA in all ten regions of the country.

Seven of the ten chairmen were newly elected with only three retaining their seats.

Osei Tutu Agyemang retained his seat as the Chairman of the Ashanti Regional Football Association with Alhaji Sadugu and Zalifu Zidah also retaining their seats in the Upper West Regions and Upper East region’s respectively.

Augustine Asante, Kojo Yankah and Francis Dogbatse stepped down and did not contest the Brong Ahafo, Western and Volta Region’s respectively.

The seats for the Central and Eastern Regions were vacant following the death of MNS Doe and AA Lawal respectively following their demise while in active service.
