World title prospect Richard Commey has expressed confidence ahead of his IBF World Lightweight title fight against Russian Isa Chaniev, describing  his workout routine under trainer Andre Rozier as "fantastic".

The 31 years old will clash with Chaniev, on February 2 in Frisco, Texas, hoping to maintain his winning streak after accounting for Alejandro Luna and Yardley Armenta Cruz this year.

Commey, 27-2-0, has been training in Bed-Sty, Brooklyn under Andre Rozier who continues to develop the boxer's skillset and artistry.

''Training is fantastic. I am never out of the gym anyway, but I am really enjoying training alongside the likes of Danny Jacobs, Chris Algieri, Curtis Stevens, Duke Micah, Sadam Ali and many others,"he told  boxingscene.com.

''It's a dream to train under the guidance of Andre Rozier and his team and I’m very grateful for the opportunity.

''Working alongside these fighters and under the guidance of an excellent trainer has helped me become a more complete fighter and I will show that on February 2.''

Commey, who is the IBF number 1 ranked Lightweight, suffered his only defeats in 2016 to Robert Easter Jnr for the vacant title and Denis Shafikov.

He thanked his manager Michael Amoo-Bediako Snr and promoter Lou DiBella for another crack at the world title.

''My manager Michael Amoo-Bediako Snr and promoter Lou DiBella have worked tirelessly to get me this opportunity and I cannot thank them enough,'' he added.

''Michael has created a great team around me that allows me to be the best fighter I can be and you will see that in Texas on February 2.''
Commey in August recorded a convincing win over Mexico’s Yardley Cruz in round two.
