Ghanaian-born German winger Roberto Massimo shone brightly for Greuther Fürth, scoring two goals to help the team secure a thrilling 4-3 win against Schalke 04 at VELTINS-Arena in the Bundesliga 2.
Massimo opened the scoring in the 23rd minute, finishing coolly after receiving a perfectly timed through ball from Branimir Hrgota.
Just four minutes later, Damian Michalski added to Fürth’s lead, heading home from a set-piece delivered by Julian Green.
Schalke fought back in the 32nd minute when Max Grüger found the net from close range, narrowing the gap.
However, Massimo quickly restored Fürth's two-goal cushion with a stunning long-range strike before halftime, making it 3-1.
The second half saw Schalke's Felipe Sánchez receive a red card, further complicating their comeback efforts.
Noel Futkeu took advantage of the situation, scoring in the 62nd minute to extend Fürth's lead to 4-1.
Despite late goals from Paul Seguin in the 78th minute and Taylan Bulut during stoppage time, Schalke could not overcome the deficit.
Massimo’s standout performance, which included two crucial goals, played a vital role in Fürth’s hard-fought victory in Round 10 of the league.
