Ronnie is irreplaceable says Buk Bak's Bright

YESTERDAY, Wednesday, November 21, was exactly five years that Ronnie Coaches, one half of popular Hiplife group, Buk Bak, passed on and his musical partner, Prince Bright, says he has not been able to get over it.

According to Bright, the death of Ronnie had been such a big blow and he is irreplaceable.

In an interview with Showbiz, Bright, who is based in the US and has been in Ghana for a while disclosed that he tried working with Promzy after he left VIP but that partnership did not work.

“I hooked up with Promzy of VIP in the USA and we tried doing something together but we had to go our separate ways because we did not click. Despite trying many times to make things work, it never did,” he said.

According to Bright, although he had been contacted by a number of artistes who wanted to join him to continue the legacy of Buk Bak, his answer to them has been no because he wanted to give respect to Ronnie.

“Adding another artiste will mean forgetting about Ronnie and that will never happen. The only person I reached out to was Promzy who I thought I could do something with but since it didn’t work, nothing will make me consider any artiste again,” he said.

To Bright, the connection with Ronnie was so solid that nothing could break them apart in their 15-year partnership.

“Ronnie was a friend, a brother and everything that I had. There can never be anyone like him and I miss him, especially, as yesterday marked five years he passed on,” he stated.

After being away for four years, Bright who is back with two singles, Small Thing and Pioto Photo said the likes of Kuami Eugene, KiDi and King Promise inspired him to come back.

“I completely gave up on music but thanks to these young ones, I am back. I listen to them and I feel Ghanaian artistes are the best in the world. The music these young artistes are churning out is wonderful,” he said.

Bright said he would not mind doing collaborations with them because they are the ones ruling the Ghanaian music industry now.

“I want to urge these young ones to continue the good work because they are making Ghana proud. I listen to them back in USA and I am so proud of them,” he stated.
