A high-level delegation of the Minority caucus in Parliament led by their leader, Haruna Iddrisu were at the High Court on Thursday, August 5, 2021, to support their colleague MP, Alhaji Collins Dauda who is facing trial after he was accused of causing financial loss to the state in the controversial Saglemi Housing project.

Alhaji Dauda who is a former Minister for Water Resources, Works and Housing has been accused of altering the Saglemi housing agreement ratified by Parliament in 2012.

The Minority MP’s who were in court included Chief Whip, Muntaka Mubarak, Dr. Dominic Ayine, Alfred Okoe Vanderpuije, Eric Opoku and Kofi Armah Buah.

Other national executives of the NDC, Joshua Akamba and Sammy Gyamfi were also at the court.

Alhaji Collins Dauda, his successor, former Minister for Water Resources, Works and Housing Dr. Kwaku Agyeman-Mensah and three others are facing 52 counts of criminal charges for intentionally misapplying public property, wilfully causing financial loss to the Republic, issuing false and dishonestly causing loss to public property are facing charges of wilfully causing financial loss to the state.
