The National Democratic Congress (NDC) parliamentary aspirant for the Ningo-Prampram Constituency, Mr Samuel Nartey George, has announced his intention to consult the incumbent Member of Parliament (MP) on a daily basis to develop the constituency if he is given the nod come December 7.

While launching his campaign for the December 7 general election at Prampram last Saturday, he said the incumbent MP, Mr Enoch Tei Mensah, had a lot of experience as an MP which needed to be tapped for national development.

"I will, therefore, consult him on a daily basis and follow his steps to satisfy the development needs of the people when I am given the nod on December 7," he stated.

The crowd

Clad in NDC colours, thousands of supporters and sympathisers of the party thronged the V Club in Prampram as party leaders took turns to address them.

Speakers, including the acting Executive Director of the National Service, Dr Michael Kpessa-Whyte, and a Deputy Minister of Communications, Mr Felix Ofosu Kwakye, urged the crowd to vote and retain the NDC in power.

The incumbent MP, Mr Mensah, who lost to Mr George during the primary, was not present at the ceremony.

Campaign vigorously

The National Organiser of the NDC, Mr Kofi Adams, admonished the crowd to campaign vigorously and retain the party in government.

According to him, “the NDC is the only party which has the constituents at heart, hence you have to engage in door-to-door, room-to-room and campaign for the party".

"As you voted in previous elections for Mr Stanley B. B. Carboo and Mr Mensah, I entreat you to vote massively for Mr George," he appealed.
