Listeners of Adom FM’s Morning Show, ‘Dwaso Nsem’ have voted Sanitation Minister, Joseph Kofi Adda as the Minister who under-performed within the first year of the Akufo-Addo government.

The listeners cast their votes on the performance of the 110 Ministers through phone calls into the programme and text messages.

Six (6) out of 15 callers into the programme voted Kofi Adda as the worse Minister.

Gender Minister, Otiko Afisa Djaba was also voted as the second worse performing Minister.

Employment Minister, Ignatius Baffour Awuah, Fisheries Minister, Afoley Quaye, Information Minister, Mustapha Hamid, Education Minister, Matthew Opoku Prempeh all came up as part of the worse performing Ministers in the Akufo-Addo government.

Defence Minister, Dominic Nitiwul, Agric Minister, Dr Afriyie Akoto, Environment Minister, Kwabena Frimpong Manso came up as part of the list of worse performing Ministers.

The listeners and texters cited various reasons for voting the Ministers as the worse performing Ministers.

Sanitation problems in the country, especially in Accra, was cited as part of the reasons for voting Kofi Ada as the worse minister. The listeners thus urged him to up his game and work hand in hand with the various MMDCAs to solve the problem before the worst happens.

Gender Minister, Otiko Afisa Djaba was also urged to check her human relations and communication skills as according to them, her attitude has been poor.

Matthew Opoku Prempeh was also entreated to work to ensure that he tackles the numerous problems bedeviling the Free SHS programme.

Responding to this, the Information Minister, Mustapha Hamid said it would be difficult rate his performance at the Information Ministry as according to him, ‘no Information Minister has ever been popular’.

“Public Relations job cannot be quantified like other Ministries where they can boast of achievements in terms of numbers…it is difficult for the Public Relations person to come along with quantifiable figures.

“In the history of the world, there has never been a popular Public Relations person because of perception that the Information Minister is there to lie to the public on behalf of government. So I advised my deputies never to expect that they will be popular for good reasons only…,” he said.
