Nana Boakye Duah-Awere, chief of Akuakrom in the Sekyere East District of the Ashanti Region has donated 800 computers to schools in the area.

Nana Boakye Duah who resides in France says the kind gesture is to enhance teaching and learning in Information Computer Technology (ICT) in the locality.

Speaking during the donation, Nana extended his appreciation to the French Club, which he (Nana) is the Ghana rep in France for supporting the good course.

The beneficiary towns include Akuakrom, Awaham, Nkwankwanüa, Mmeheneso and Temate among others.

Aside the computers, Nana also donated other educational materials such books and pens. He again presented wheel chairs, meant for the physically challenged in the area.

Receiving the items on behalf of the beneficiaries, District Director of Education for the Sekyere East District, Madam Dora Fosu expressed her deepest appreciation to Nana Boakye Duah-Awere for his generosity and interventions particularly on the side of education in the district.

She appealed to Nana to always remember them since according to her, the District lacks logistics in education.
