Manchester City striker, Sergio Aguero is appealing his FA charge of violent conduct after the Argentine was caught on camera in an elbowing incident.

The swift attacker was seen on tape appearing to be hitting West Ham's Winston Reid in the face in City's 3-1 win last Sunday.

The English FA's charge will mean Aguero will not be eligible to feature for the Etihad side in the much anticipated Manchester Derby after the international break.

Sources close to the striker have revealed Sergio Aguero is willing to challenge the FA's decision.

There is however the strongest likelihood that the FA will stand by their decision considering the fact that the referee did not see the incident live thus making it quite obvious to note that the decision to suspend the player was taken by an FA panel after seeing the video.

The Argentine has until 6pm today to lodge an appeal.
