Black Stars coach Avram Grant keeps disappointing me with the list of players he keeps naming for Black Stars assignment.

I have no problem with the entire team but only two players; Asamoah Gyan and John Boye.

I disagree with their inclusion because of their current form.

Boye's form has dipped in recent times and has guided two teams in succession to relegation in the Turkish Super Lig.

I suggest Nuru Suley who guided Alanyaspor to gain promotion to the Super Lig or Musah Inusah of Hearts who current form has seen him win three MVPS in his last five matches or Joseph Atamah Larweh who also guided Adana Demirspor to the finals of the play-off in Turkey but lost to Nuru Sulley's Alanyaspor.

Then Asamoah Gyan.

Gyan is one of the two MOST influential players in the Black Stars but we must not force him or he must not force himself.

Gyan has been rocked by injuries and is currently nursing an injury so why call him?

He has not played for close to three months now. So what informed his inclusion?

I think Majeed Abdul Waris should have been handed the invite since he is fit and is out there with Lorient and had a successful pre-season.

Even if not Waris, why not invite Dauda Mohammed of Kotoko or Abednego Tetteh of Bechem United or Richard Arthur of Wa All Stars or Sadick Adams or Yaya Mohammed?

In any case, we have already qualified so what is Grant guiding against?

Honestly, we need to prepare for a better replacement for Gyan as he will surely hang the boots one day.

In the event he says goodbye to the game, is it that time that we will be preparing for such a replacement? No!

Grant must think more of the future than now.

At least, Dauda Mohammed's current form deserved a call up.

Below is the full 23-man squad:
